Year 5 girls football team at Wigan Tournement finish 4th

Nicol Mere Year 5 girls football team at the Wigan competition 2016 with 24 other schools. Our team finished 4th after getting knocked out on penalties in the Semi-Final.

The girls only conceded one goal all tournement and scored a hatfull!

A great effort by our team and I’m pleased to say that it has inspired some of our year 5s to get involved with Wigan Jnr Latics ladies.

Should you want any information on local sports please ask at the school office.

Enjoy the video and look out for the nicknames they got 😀

Next wave of talent in Gymnastics.

Following from our success story in gymnastics, here is a little peak into our gifted and talented reception children coming through our after school club program…. That’s right reception children! These two crackers got a private lesson last week when our year 2s went to London. This is what they learned in just 20 minutes.  #thefutureisbright
